Mothers have been bringing forth life since the beginning of time – birth and Motherhood etched into the most innate parts of our original design. Yet rather than entering the early weeks and months of motherhood with a sense of peace, joy, support and love, today new mothers will often experience fear, anxiety, loneliness, depression, lack of confidence and lack of support. The absent village has never been felt so deeply. In so many ways we are failing our new mothers and it has to change!
The “Postpartum Renaissance” is a growing movement of women who are passionate about changing the way the world sees and values new mothers, and changing the way mothers are supported post birth – I am proud to be one of them. Take a look around and discover why I believe postpartum care could be the most important investment your family ever makes.
Alissa was a lifesaver for me in the early days of motherhood. As a first time mother, the fourth trimester was so much harder and more transformative than I could’ve prepared for. She took away all the noise and made it simple and easy for first time parents who felt like we were drowning. She really has a wealth of knowledge behind her and has huge empathy, compassion and love for mothers and their babies”
